I've downloaded this Strong app, and along with Reps & Sets, they seem like great applications. YET:
Unfortunately very limited to enter in your own exercises vs following the developers set plans - which lead you into the 'PAID' app cycle.
I have a problem with this ideal because 1 I cannot test the app tracks my 3 day workout schedule that I've prepared for myself or that my personal trainer has prepared for me. Secondly and most important to me is I cannot SYNC workout set in Strong to the Apple Watch. I get some error that I need to request from the Watch first and when I do (with/out the app running in range of the iPhone - both are paired) doesn't work. The other major issue I have with Strong is I've created a workout, call it Day 2 (Back, Biceps and Traps) and it's set for a specific Day of the week. My 3 days workouts are on rotation so never the same "day of the week". I'm unsure if THIS is part of the issue.
I may give this application a try yet from the looks of the app screenshots it's most likely based off the same blueprint as the other two mentioned above. UnderArmor is a complete joke with their apps and over glorified wallpaper of a quadrant.
I'd like a work out app that I can
Enter my own exercises (great if I can pick from a very exhaustive list - Reps & Sets has this)
Enter my own reps and sets
- ability to edit the reps and sets (both ON the watch during a workout and on iPhone - sync between the two when in range). This would be SUPER great if I can see right away, say with a red bold highlight of the edited Set/Rep IF below the set target, and a green bold highlight if above! This would be great to track weaknesses and improved strengths/crushing plateaus! Go one further for me to jot done a note within the iOS app and can be viewed specifically within a 'notes' feed.
Sync ability with Food/Caloric tracking application like MyFitnessPal (best there is)!
Apps ability to also not only set a specific and repeatable rest [between Reps, and another between Exercises, but ALSO tap into the Apple Watches heart rate monitor and update data into Health app in iOS (exercises caloric burn rate etc)
I'm VERY KEEN on my heart rate and lately it's been all out of WACK and freaking me out. Oddly enough if I focus I can reduce the heart rate quite rapidly - always had fun with the ECG at the doctors when I was younger lol.
[doublepost=1492658948][/doublepost]SWEET!!
Didn't see the Settings > Apple Watch menu and then Reset Apple Watch.
Been doing this before if memory serves well but nothing occured as a positive result. After 4 attempts BOOM I now see Strong Watch App requesting data and BOOM now saved.
