Hi

I had to re-pair my apple watch 3 after getting new iphone
I wiped it clean. I set it up as a new watch. keeping LTE setting only.

Capacity - it says its 11g free in the usage menu on the AW but when I add 2gb of music (from empty) it says this exceeds the space available.

previously I manage to get 7gb on there. I believe 8gb is allowed on this model.

its like the previous music is still on the taking up space? is it a glitsch?

thanks for helping

11 gb is about whats left (on a S3 / cellular) after the watch has been formatted and Watch OS is installed. thats not related to the installed music.

Since you got a new iPhone, you might want to check that your watch is updated to watchOS 4.2. Check the Watch app on your new iPhone Tap General and then Tap About.

The initial version of watchOS 4 still had the 2 GB limit on the LTE watch and was included in iOS 11.

So what’s the limit on a S3 SS /w LTE? For songs is it the number of gongs or gb?

yes. update to date os

I found despite the warnings that it was full of music it still loaded 7.9 gb of music.
took all night.
now it seems to have stopped giving the warning.

I think its just a glitsch/bug.
