Apple Watch 4 Fall Detection Questions

Hi all
I have been scouring the news articles for more info on the Fall Detection on the AW4 but can't find answers to:

- Appears you need the AW4 Cellular version for the Fall Detection feature, correct?
- If I buy the GPS, non-Cellular version and fall, would the AW4 still make an emergency call if paired/near iPhone?
- For the emergency contacts, is it possible to also send a Whatsapp message to specified contacts?
- Does Whatsapp notifications/etc work on the AW4 Cellular version without an iPhone tethered?

Agree with above. Also, Series 1 (non GPS non cellular) can call 911 when paired phone is near, so I’m definitely certain Series 4 can.

If you have a S4 with cellular, will fall detection with still if you don’t have your iPhone with you?
