Apple Watch 4 GPS to AW 6 Cellular

I am replacing my AW 4 GPS with a new AW 6 GPS-Cellular model.

What is the procedure for doing this?

Do I just remove the AW 4 from my iPhone and then add the AW 6?

I would add the AW 6 first.

I just went from the Series 4 to series 6 last week myself. I wiped my Series 4 and then added my series 6 after. I set my series 6 up as a new watch, I didn't want to start from a back up. Had no issues. Hard to mess up regardless of how its done, IMO.
