Hello guys, I would like to buy an Apple Watch 5 and i would prefer to use it in airplane mode for most of the day. Can you tell me what works and what doesn't work in airplane mode? I'm particularly interested in functions related to the tracking of sports and heart activity. And related notifications (for example, notifications of any cardiac abnormalities, etc). Other notifications (messages, calls, inutility) don't interest me.

Thank you!

AFAIK the things that you mention continue to work. I have a S5 S3 that I use for exercise but you aren't really stating why you would want to use it in AirPlane mode.. in that mode it does lack some features which aren't necessarily power saving. For power saving operation you are better off using the power saving mode and a Chest Strap for heart rate.

Thank you! I would use the Apple Watch in airplane mode for most of the day because, being a wearable device, I want to avoid exposure to electromagnetic radiation throughout the day.

With your mindset, you might as well forget getting the watch. It would make no practical sense.

Thanks for the reply

As said, however, for the functions that interest me there would be no problem in keeping the Apple Watch in airplane mode, right? I work on the Mac all day, so I really don't need notifications of messages, social networks, emails, etc...
