I purchased my Series 8 Watch 18 months ago right after a 7 week hospital/rehab facility stay. and it's been working fine...until the last update. Immediately after the update the health app started giving weird responses, like immediately my AFib went from 1% to 76% and my blood oxygen started reading 100% all the time. I already knew it was off on the AFib , but only a little as my 6 month device checks show that I have not had even 1 AFib episode sine it was installed according to the doctor that checks it decided that it has difficulty telling a harmless PVC from an AFib episode.
The ECG has never worked right and it is a known fact in the medical field that all you will ever get from it is n inconclusive. These are the things I purchased this watch for. OH and tonight at dinner out, to celebrate my excellent reports from today's device check and doctor's appointment it decided that I had fallen after never noticing that I really did fall 2 weeks ago.
I've expected something like this with the blood oxygen sensor but the other things have me really upset. I now have an expensive medication reminder. I am very unlikely to replace it with another Apple Watch after this.
IMHO at this point this watch isn't even a decent doorstop, and I won't be replacing it.
