Apple watch adapter only thread

I'm just here looking for sympathy. I finally ordered my space grey lugs and they were supposed to have arrived yesterday. UPS sent them to the wrong sort center, and I now have no idea where they are or when they'll be delivered.
 
Sorry, but this means I'm not going to gamble: "For Grey Apple Watch"

...meaning, it's not black, if anything, it's close to 'space grey' (even though the pics look pretty dark)

Those in the space black camp continue to wait for a verified space black SS adapter. (if someone has one, PLEASE let me know!!) 🙂
 
Just received my adapters from LUVVITT and I have to say, they're perfect in fit and in finish for my SS 42mm watch.

Here's a picture of one installed.

Pics look the same as the grey but the description only mentions black.
 
I am looking for 3rd party adapters to attach bands to my Apple Watch. I plan on personally making my own band soon and need a way to attach it.

Anyone sell these that are perfect fits and look like Apples?

Just wanted to make sure I didn't miss it, but has anyone found adapters that are close to the finish of the silver aluminum AWS? Seems like the SS model is getting all the love!

guys i want to bring something to your attention. previously, i showed a picture of my adapters i got from eBay. it appeared one wasn't fitting right and was very wobbly (pulling out) and sticking out on the sides. i now have them installed with a 2 piece zulu strap and they indeed fit perfectly. i think this was my error, as i think i put it in upside down. they need to be installed with the metal middle button facing down (to properly lock into the corresponding hole in the watch body). the reason my previous attempt was wobbly and pushing out was because the middle rubber piece on the adapter was attempting to grab into the hole. so instead of clicking in, it was squashed in. for anyone who has a shady fitting adapter, not seating right, flip it over. there indeed is a correct way to install these. i emailed the seller on eBay letting them know it was my mistake, even though they shipped me a replacement. the ones i bought from inkoo888 on eBay indeed fit well and cheaper than all the other ones on eBay.

I live in Japan and was looking for the LUVVITT 38mm stainless steel adapters here since they get such great reviews and look good. Couldn't find them on the Japanese Amazon site but I found this brand, http://www.amazon.co.jp/【Wearlizer】..._sbs_79_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=1Q3MR70N0HQD4S5KJCZN

They look pretty good, some good reviews, what do you guys think? A photo in the review section below shows it even comes with the tool to do the screws. They also have black and the color for the sport watch it looks like in other sections of Amazon.jp
 
Guys, beware of the springbar type adapters sold by 'freedomoclock09' seller on ebay. I had 2 sets fail, the actual black spring popped out so made them useless. Upon contacting the seller, 'Lilly' replied back she would send 2 replacements if i purchased 1, as 'postage costs are high and we already send'. Albeit they had failed. I emailed back to clarify if i purchased 1 i would get 3, She then replied, 'so sorry we can not send extra we already send'.

So basically they failed after less than a month and they wouldn't replace or help in any way. So it's a gamble purchasing from him they are almost double what the apple type adapters are going for right now. Once the black spring pops out it's only good for the trashcan. It's a shame he's the only seller right now shipping from USA. I'll stick with buying from sellers whom stand by their products they sell.

The springbars should be standard.
You couldn't find a replacement at your local jewelry store or from an other eBay seller?

I should have been a little clearer in my wording. The springbars are not the problem. the problem is the apple locking mechanism is a cheap. The black rubber has popped out leaving the tiny spring showing. It can no longer be slid into the watch and locked. The bands stay on the adapter fine though. Each order was sent with an extra springbar just wanted to mention that.

It would obviously appear when changing the bands everyday. I cycle through at least 9 bands so probably each has been used 5-6 times. Not really that much wear and tear for it to fail so quickly.
 
Other than people wanting the springbar adapters, I think most people should just opt for reputable 3rd party band makers that are having the adapters made to Apple's specs (and colours) and selling them packaged with their bands.

These guys are a good example on how to do it right (yes, I know - adapter only thread - but I think that topic is soon going to be moot):

I'm not saying they are but what makes you think they aren't using the same adapters just bought in bulk?
I mean if they really were MFAW certified I'd expect to see them promoting that fact pretty heavily.

I'm grooving on that olive drab with the space grey buckle. Trying to convince my wife to let me buy it.

Are you seeing Apple certifying any adapters? This is an american company that is saying they've built the adapters to Apple's specs. Not some seller on e-bay with an alias....and usually shipping out of Hong Kong.

It's entirely possible that the adapters could be manufactured in the same plant as some of these others - I think peoples' experiences will be entirely different with a local, accountable company backing them.

All I'm asking is why you'd even think that they were any different. I'm looking at their website and it has no details at all. No mention of MFAW certified. No mention of specs. No mention of made in the USA.
If you have that info please share it so we can all be confident of a superior product.

Jeff in sales at Clockworksynergy said that they're made to Apple's specifications. You're welcome to message them for whatever additional documentation will appease you.
