Hey all

Just got a Series 4 Cellular on T-Mobile paired to an XS. When I’m connected to both car and watch, I don’t get phone calls on the watch. They do come through on the iPhone and car though. Is this normal behavior? Think I’ve exhausted trying out all settings options. It happens on both a 2016 Ford Taurus w/Sync and a 2017 Audi A6 with MMI. Is this normal behavior? Thanks in advance.

My Audi MMI does the same as you are describing (calls come through the phone/MMI when connected, not on the watch), so I'd guess its normal. Makes sense if you think about it: the watch is effectively acting as a handsfree for the phone (unless you're using it without the phone present) so if you have an alternative handsfree built into the car with better speakers and microphone it makes sense to use that.

I understand that the car should take over the call, ultimately but I was hoping to at least get a notification when a call is coming through. Didn’t think it would be an issue until it became an issue. Case in point, I was outside my car conversing with someone while my phone was on silent and still in Bluetooth range with the car. Never knew I had a missed call during that time until later.

I hate to bring up Android as I just switched ecosystems (again since the iPhone 4S) but my Note 8 and Gear S3 handled this situation without a hitch. Was also able to initiate a call on the Gear S3 and it would hand it to off the car Bluetooth system. Another thing I think Apple should incorporate.

Anyways, thanks for the replies...
