NT understands that. What he is saying is that by calling out Apple Watches, he feels that the article and it's title are just click-baiting. That the article only refers to Apple Watches, and makes it seem like only the AW was banned. Which if the people behind the policy have half a brain, isn't so - that all smartwatches would be banned.
Wired have updated the title of their article to Smartphones and watches 'banned from Cabinet over hacking concerns' and added this note...
Update: October 11 – This story was updated to widen the list of devices that are banned after learning it's not specific to Apple Watches and applies across the board.
I think that clears up any confusion about it being specific to the Apple Watch.

They have own private network so NO CONCERN of say malware on the computer or network being compromised by outside security breach.

Only way to to see what is on their computer or e-mail is to walk into the building and hack from in side. You cannot hack from the outside. They have own closed of private network.
That is all great and works really well until some rouge IT guy greats a bridge between the closed, secure network and the Internet so that someone like a Secretary of State can get her emails on her Blackberry....

I'm stunned any of them know how to tell the time. Guarantee they all have the Mickey Mouse face for the watch......a suitable metaphor for the UK and its politicians today.

Of course, the US wouldn't dream of spying on their "allies", would they?

What valuable state secret would US spies gain from UK Ministers?
