I'm getting approximately seven SpO2 measurements per night. Is there any 3rd party app that enables automatic measurements for example every 10 minutes while sleeping? Of course this would consume more battery, but I'm okay with that. I tried but didn't manage to find any app with this kind of feature.

How many SpO2 measurements do you usually get during night?

You should get SpO2 readings every +- 30 minutes when sleeping. I.e I got to sleep by 1:50 and woke up by 8:20 - got 9 readings at: 1:50, 2:46, 3:16, 4:33, 5:03, 5:34, 7:12, 7:45, 8:17.
So it looks like it skipped 3 readings between 3 and 4 am and 5 and 7 am.
Weird

I know you said you don’t mind the extra battery charge so this is just an FYI. But in my testing, the oxygen readings consume more power than the always on display.

Thank you all for the info! I haven't realized that it tries to take readings every 30 minutes. Last night I got 11 readings, new record I guess ;) But I still would like to have an option for more readings. It would be useful to take more frequent readings for example for a week at a time every now and then. So not always and charging before and after sleep wouldn't be a problem.

SleepWatch customer service answered: "We use the data provided in Apple Health, so we aren't able to take more frequent measurements." This raises a question that is it even possible.
