I think there is no benefit to titanium cases. Pure gimmick. It's not stronger (as a watch) and it looks very similar to the aluminium but at 2.5x the cost. In some lighting you can't even tell the difference.

The nicest looking cases are by far the space black stainless steel and the white ceramic. I do understand how some might say the white ceramic can look toyish, but that probably depends on the band. Personally I like the white ceramic. What really looks good are the older ceramic grey cases. Those are money for sure. Why Apple brought back white but not grey is very weird. They also need black and maybe some other ceramic colors like a latte brown and Swedish orange or product red, yellow etc.

I think if you have the money, the cases to get are the space black stainless steel and ceramic cases. Hermes is also a total burn because its the same space black stainless steel case, but you're paying over $600 for bands. The price is in the bands only lol. There's also a very similar watch face now so there is literally no exclusivity to owning the Hermes version.

If you are on a budget, you just by any of the aluminium cases. They last longer and don't scratch unlike the standard stainless steel and titanium cases. The plain stainless steel cases are a nightmare. They need to discontinue those. Titanium also scratches very well :) Both plain and space black titanium scratch easily.

p.s. The space black titanium should not be called space black because it's much much lighter than the stainless steel space black. Stainless steel space black is like ceramic black; A pure space black. The titanium is more like a gun black / pewter.

Out of the lot I like the Aluminium space grey and the stainless steel. However I would never pay £699 for an Apple Watch so aluminium is the way to go for me. I know a lot so snobs on here look down their noses at those of us with the peasants AW but I’ve had 3 years of enjoyment out of it and plenty of intrigue and compliments.

Not keen on the titanium after checking out all models on Saturday. It’s like a brushed stainless with an eye watering price tag. The ceramic to me looks like it’s white plastic and needs people to realise what it is rather than rely on aesthetics. It seems to be a somewhat status edition and for me looks the ugliest of the lot. It’s nice for sports maybe? It wouldn’t be my choice even at half the price.

Aluminium always has good value because it's durable as hell and looks pretty much the same as titanium.

Space Black stainless steel however is on another level. Looks amazing like Darth Vader.

Yup, many people think the white ceramic looks plastic but those are only people who don't know Apple watches and most Apple Watch wearers don't care. The previous grey ceramic looks even better.

I do like the white ceramic with the white sports band. The entire whiteness looks pretty rad. I like the look for myself and don't care if other people people who don't know think it's plastic.

I will probably be getting the space black stainless steel with Product Red band. However, if I decide to buy a new phone at the same time and I buy the silver iPhone 11 Pro, I might consider buying the white ceramic watch to match it.

For me I love the whiteness of the ceramic. It doesn't matter to me if people are unaware of ceramic or thinks it looks plastic. The whiteness makes all the sport band colors pop super nicely. Then again, i do have a strong preference for white stuff, and this particular white won't ever discolor, so it's even better. :)

Not so much interested in Titanium cos it reminds me of a metal spoon finish that we usually use at home. I've owned alu, SBSS and SS but ceramic for me is still my fav.. super love it!

i guess it really boils down to your own color preferences...

Aluminium it is for me. The Hermes edition is purely burning extra cash and I’ll never ever consider buying it. In fact when I realised Apple is only going to value my year old S4 aluminium version at £70, I’ve decided I’ll not upgrade until this one literally becomes unusable.
