Apple Watch case with battery (cannot wear on wrist)

FYI, got this email today about a new case (comes with a battery) that makes your Apple Watch function like a small phone.

I'm pretty sure this company is the same one that had a similar concept out earlier this year/last year, but that one had a scroll wheel that got pretty bad reviews) and no battery. Passing it along here in case anyone is interested. I'll be keeping my eyes one set, but won't be pre-ordering until I see some reviews.

i wonder if you would need to turn off wrist detection. if you turn off wrist detection, then would you need to enter your passcode every time you want to look at the screen?
or, maybe you just set for the screen to never time out and then you don't need to enter your passcode again ?

either way, using it without wrist detection would be insecure since there isn't face id or touch ID on the watch.
anybody that has it could use the wallet with just two quick taps on the side button?

Not every time you want to “look at” the watch, but yeah to use some functions (see notification details, open apps, etc).

If wrist detection is off, wallet only works when the watch is locked & requires the passcode to activate it.
