And who has ever done that with a failing product? I'm not saying it's going to surpass the iPhone (it isn't), but it's definitely doing better than some would have us believe. A failing product has only one schedule, and that's to get the inventory though the channels as quickly as possible and cut your losses, a la the Zune, the Rokr, etc.Absent data from Apple, there is nothing that can be gleaned from this. Even if was selling horribly and they had excess supply, they wouldn't flood the market with inventory. More likely this is a controlled rollout; designed to keep the watch in the media over time. Whether it's selling well or not, Apple probably has a set schedule to launch the watch.
