Apple Watch disabling siri eyes free in the car?

I have a 2015 Lexus with siri eyes free. Prior to having the watch, I could use it and it worked very well. Since I've had my watch, when I activate it, it tries to launch siri eyes free in the car, but I never get a voice prompt and then the option disappears. From that point on, pushing down my talk switch takes me to the phone rather than invoking siri eyes free.

Has anyone experienced this issue? This is really annoying actually, because siri eyes free works better than the watch because I don't have to tap "send" to send texts, etc.

Debating returning the watch since I'm still in the return window.

You mean turning off siri entirely on the watch?

I don't think you can do that, but you can turn off "Hey Siri" on the Watch's side in Settings > General > Siri.

Perhaps this will work, but I'm not sure. Siri eyes free may be trying to compete with Hey Siri on the Watch.

Yeah that's my concern, although I use hey siri all the time when I'm not in the car, so that might be pretty annoying :)

Report this to Apple so they can fix this incompatibility in a future update.
