Had a fraud charge from a place I was reasonably sure I used Watch Pay.

I reported the fraud and cancelled the card. That bank proceeded to cancel out my other cards from my Apple Watch pay. To not use the watch again.

Will Apple swap out my Ultra 2 ?

edit: possibly coincidental, may not have been specific to watch pay. Going to assume it’s all good and only card specific.

You think that someone compromised the h/w on the watch? That seems supremely unlikely. You even said "reasonably" sure you used Apple Pay. You're not even sure of the details yourself.

The Watch should have your transactions listed, I would go through those and review.

When they cancelled the card it was auto-removed from the watch.

Is there another way to check?

I don't think what you described is possible.

After you authenticate your transaction, the Secure Element provides your Device Account Number and a transaction-specific dynamic security code to the store’s point of sale terminal along with additional information needed to complete the transaction. Again, neither Apple nor your device sends your actual payment card number. Before they approve the payment, your bank, card issuer, or payment network can verify your payment information by checking the dynamic security code to make sure that it’s unique and tied to your device.

Your bank will tell you precisely how those transactions occurred and whether it was via the actual card or through Apple. I doubt they can tell you if it was watch or phone, but they might.

H/W compromise of the watch would not be impossible, in the genuine sense of the word impossible, but it's impossible for all intents and purposes.

Get a new card, add it, be more aware and keep on eye on your transactions. If you have another card on the watch use it and then ensure you're familiar with the process to view past transactions.

I can’t add back any of those bank cards (just tried one).

I’ll see what Apple Store says about an exchange.

Right, that makes sense that you cannot add them back if the bank cancelled them. They will need to reissue you a new card and you may need to get them to approve using Apple Pay again.

It's not an Apple thing. You can do an unpair and re-pair on the watch but I wouldn't waste your time (or Apple's time) trying to replace it. There was no h/w compromise.

I have several cards with the bank. Only one had the fraud charge but they cancelled them all out of Apple Watch wallet.

I can’t add back any of the good ones.

They may have blocked you from using Apple Pay.

I would contact the bank as step 1. Step 2 unpair and re-pair the watch. Set up as new. It's drastic, but you can be sure that you've got a fresh software setup using that method.

Apple Pay is tied to your Apple ID, not your physical device.

It’s not a watch problem. The cards not registering is because they are cancelled. Swapping the watch will do nothing.

Speak to the bank. Not Apple

I’ll try it out when back in the US.
