Well, loved my :apple: Watch. Unfortunately the dang thing stopped functioning properly yesterday. The raise to wake feature suddenly stopped working. Later realized the activity bands not changing. No added steps, calories never increased. Watch stopped telling me to stand up  Seems like a hardware problem, anyone else have these issues? Thanks.

Sounds more like a software problem. If it were hardware I would think that would be indicative of the watch turning off and not able to come back on...or something else along those lines.

First try to restore it to factory settings.

On Apple Watch, open the Settings app from the Home screen, go to General > Reset, then tap Erase All Content and Settings. Then unpair Apple Watch from iPhone (if available)

If that doesn't help, set up a Genius appointment.

Yeah, I thought that as well but when I noticed my steps and other stuff that would use one of those 'omater things that it may be hardware. Gonna call Apple Store do they have watches for people with issues or is it basically gonna be another waiting game thing?

Or power cycle it? Helps on the iPhone for certain problems. I probably wouldn't restore until I'd tried that.

What have you tried?

Yes, I've done all those things. Power cycle, restore, unpair re-pair, set up as new. Spoke with Apple tech, nothing seems to fix issue. Guess I'll call the Apple Store when they open today.

Sounds like a defective accelerometer. Should be covered under warranty. Shouldn't be a problem to get replaced. It does mean that you'll probably be without your watch for a few days, and with the way we've all been amped up over this release for the past few weeks/months, I imagine that will be difficult.
