Yes, I knew going in that the white band would end up changing color. It was kind of an experiment to see how much the white band can get discolored. After a week, I can confirm it's just as bad as I expected. I just wanted to warn people that white band and hair dye doesn't mix.

Of course not all hair dyes do this, only the crazy color ones like the bright pink I have. How does this happen ? Well, I have a bad habit of playing with my hair. It rubs on my hands and then on to the watch.

I know there has been videos of people dipping the band in wine and it washes right off. Don't let that fool you, it's plastic and not immune to discoloration.

I am taking a picture each day to show the progression. I will post an update to it in a month and I bet it will be VERY pink :D

I quite like it!:)

I think it actually looks awesome!

I can't imagine what it will look like in a month. I had the same thing happen with my iPhone 6+ case. It started out clear and now its very pink tinted. Everyone always assumes I bought it that way. They are shocked to learn it was clear once.

It's one way of a getting a pink band. :D

Just curious if you're using a professional color or a consumer color. I have my pink professionally done and haven't had this happen.

Go buy some RIT and dye the whole thing pink.

It'll work. There's a post about dyeing bands around here somewhere.

Why does your hair dye color everything around you? I've had pink hair (and various other colors) a number of times and mine only comes off while sleeping for the first week after I get it done. So, I put a towel or t-shirt over my pillowcase.
