Resolved Apple Watch Hermès (How to clean the band)

Actually I've been wearing this since the 1st day of launched (Cuff model)
Everything was anticipated under good conditions.
However, as day goes by, I found some small dark marks in the band.
Underneath got no problems.
Anyone mind to share your way of cleaning your band?

Hermès told me that, this type of leather does, however, develop patina over a series of time.

Go to a decent jewellers and purchase some leather cleaner/moisturiser. If it's a decent jewellers the will even show you how to use it.

Absolutely mine Hermes iPhone 4 case was the same as you. But I happens to encounter some friends, their Hermès leather(s) look brand-new after few years. Might be they have some tricks not appropriate to disclose

STOP! DO NOT USE LEATHER CLEANERS/CONDITIONERS.

What you show is a natural leather patina. And it looks beautiful. This is how ANY fine leather should age. Go ahead and look in high end catalogues. This patina is actually very desired, and people look forward to their leather looking like this over time.

Do NOT use leather cream/conditioners unless you have had experience with them in the past. A LOT of them end up damaging the leather, even if they come directly from the leather maker. There are many people that bought leather conditioners from Coach directly, complaining about it damaging their leather. It can either dry it out, crack it, or cause a permanent color change.

You will NOT be able to clean that darker brown out. That is not superficial dirt. That is likely wear, dirt, oils, etc. that have absorbed into the leather, and changed it permanently (for the good).

Enjoy your cuff, and don't worry about your beautiful product.

On some leather forums, some have recommended cleaning stubborn stains on fauve barenia leather purses using pure glycerine saddle soaps. I wouldn't do it often (just in case you get some grease splattered on it, for instance).

You can't simply wash the patina out. If it's dirt, it'll come off. Not so with patina.

The reason Hermes says not to use anything is simply to help prevent customers doing more harm than good from using the wrong product and also thinking there's something wrong with uncoated leather after coming into contact with water. Really no different from Apple playing it safe by recommending that you do not submerge the AW. There's plenty of not so bright people out there.
