Hello I have a question about Apple Watch and messaging.

Is there away to send an iMessage and not an SMS on an Apple Watch, since when ever I send a message from my Mac or iPad to my friends Apple Watch it does not show up.

If he sends one to me insted of getting the message in iMessage it get sent via email.

Is there away to send an iMessage and not an SMS (if the phone is turned off it works right and will send an revive iMessage tho)

Also sending and receiving iMessage on his iPhone works like it should.

Thank you for reading this post and I hope you all have a great day / and or night.

In my experience, iMessage can be a bit crazy when you are having trouble. The sender is the one who determines if you can send as an iMessage. I would try one device at a time, as each needs to be set up properly. For example, the iPad will send iMessage if you have it enabled in settings AND the address you send to is the AppleID of your friend. Otherwise it will not send iMessage.

If he sends one to me insted of getting the message in iMessage it get sent via email.

This is similar. Your friend needs to look at his contact for you and make sure he is sending to your AppleID. If he has your email and not the AppleID setup on the contact (or he does not have 'send as iMessage' enabled in settings) then it will not send as an iMessage.

It sounds like his iMessage isn't working properly on his phone and it is failing back to SMS. I'd disable SMS completely on the phone and test successfully, before turning it back on.

Thank you everyone for the all the problems have been fix the only kinder issue that is still here is that the watch does not get any notification when the phone is turned on and I don't think that can be changed but it would be nice to get them when the phone is on,

Thanks again everyone for your help and I hope you all have a great day / and or night.
