As frustrating as the lack of transparency has been, at least we know that us "by July 8th" folks should be able to get one in June, by shipment or by Walk-In.

That said, I'm kind of hoping that they time it such that they're "caught up" to a reasonable date when retail availability starts. If nothing else, to avoid the ill-will caused by people seeing them shipping to stores before preorderers.

That's cool, but with Apple, June likely means June 30th 9AM. 3 of the least desirable models in stock.

Regarding the Apple Watch, Cook began by telling the employees that “the Watch could not be going better, we’re working really hard on making more.

Ha! Could not be going better... except for the untold number of customers angry about a 2+ month wait on preorders. Right.

Should have made more to begin with.

That's fairly aggravating for those waiting until July.

It would be the icing on the cake of this catastrophic rollout. Regardless of promised shipping dates, when you ship to some weeks before while forcing others to wait, it creates a lot of resentment.

Available in Apple stores in June

So if my delivery date is the end of June, will they have enough stock so that I can just buy it at the beginning of June?

It would be the icing on the cake of this catastrophic rollout. Regardless of promised shipping dates, when you ship to some weeks before while forcing others to wait, it creates a lot of resentment.

It also brings back up the topic of whether or not they have been stockpiling watches, instead of fulfilling preorders

If they actually have stock in stores that's still backordered from online sales, that would be a catastrophic PR nightmare for Apple. The backlash could be quite significant.

I will be so annoyed if people can just walk into a store and order after waiting a month
