Apple Watch international roaming … ?

After the announcement of the Apple Watch finally supporting international roaming, is there any further details on this?

I live in the UK and I’m on o2 (one of the listed carriers) - any ideas on when this is going to start working etc?

Maybe ask your carrier. Mine (Swisscom - Switzerland) is working in the EU. Now I am in the Philippines and it is not working. Maybe because VoLTE Roaming is not supported here.

EDIT: I just retried and it works also here in PH.

Apple has a list of models when it comes to regions and cellular/mobile subscription. There you can see there are different Ultra models with different bands. If there isn't enough overlap in the bands, it will not work.

Hi, I‘m also from CH and my carrier is also Swisscom. Roaming with my Apple watch does not work in Italy (I was there 3 times after 9.1 OS came out) and I was not in any other country to try. My plan is with international roaming and I have activated data roaming on the apple watch. Do you have any hint for me? Thanks
