I'm having issues with my apple watch battery after i update to watch os 2.1 . I started my apple watch at 10:25 am and its 5:30 pm at 65 %.

AT 12 Pm till 5pm i had my apple watch flat on my desk with no use at all at and its 65 % now .

Why is my apple watch drawing at that rate and is that a normal rate that my apple watch should be dying ?

What can i do to fix it ?

I'm just spitballing here but when I updated to Watch OS 2, the charge percentage went down even though it was on the charger. Is it possible that when you charge it some background processes begin that are taxing on the battery (like a backup)?

Maybe try a complete restore. If you think it's defective then I'd make a Genius Bar appointment.

same thing when I was on watch os 1.0.1 i had no issues when watch os 2 came along issue. This watch was replaced three times due to charging issues the third watch fixed it all but watch os 2 is causing one percent to go down while it charges. I will keep an eye on it

Do you have any 3rd party apps on the watch? What kind of glances and notifications are you using? Wondering if something might be running in the background trying to connect to the phone for updates possibly?

If a reset doesn't resolve it, I'd get rid of the 3rd party apps and slowly add them back one by one. I initially had a rapid battery drain when I got my watch (saw it charge and drain substantially while on the stand charging) and in my case a reset took care of it.

I did notice a few people posting in a thread about a battery issue after new update. I haven't updated mine yet, still on 2.0.
