Who's going to buy it? The rich people and the fanboys have already ordered it through Alibaba on the grey market.

I know that Apple has made a huge investment in China and it is pay off well as it is now their number 2 market in terms of sales. Where is India on the list? Last I heard, Apple was not opening stores there but going through other retailers. It seems that they are not making huge investments there (yet?), so I wonder how much the launch of another product will have there.

Gosh £300 in india, I thought you could live on that for months like a king.

That seems a lot for India (with respect).

Pretty much, it would be a months salary for the working class.
Doubt they'd spend it on a watch.

Probably aimed at the folks in the cities, with much higher income.
Which may be low than rest of the population but then again it could be in tens of millions! Apple is literally growing up to be a status symbol and a must have in Southern Bombay.

it was launched here in the Philippines last week but most of us have already bought it from abroad/grey market.lol
