This was found in the UK reservation page source code.. (https://reserve.cdn-apple.com/GB/en_GB/reserve/watch/availability)

When you make a reservation, we’ll have your watch waiting at a time and an Apple Store that work for you. A Specialist will answer questions and help you try it on. So you can make sure you’re getting the right one

All Apple Watch models are available by reservation only.*Due to high demand, it’s possible this watch will become unavailable*before you confirm your reservation. Choose a state and a store to get started.","iReserve.availability.availabilityDescriptionEdition":"All Apple Watch models are available by reservation only. Apple Watch Edition is offered in selected stores only.*Due to high demand, it’s possible this watch will become unavailable*before you confirm your reservation. Choose a state and a store to get started."

Your reservation is valid for pickup only at the Apple Retail Store that you selected. If you do not pick up your selected item(s) by the designated date and time, your reservation will be cancelled and your item(s) will be returned to stock.*

There is a maximum of two reservations per customer. Apple reserves the right to refuse, limit or cancel a reservation if Apple determines that a customer has provided misleading or fraudulent information and or abused, disrupted or attempted to circumvent the reservation system. A valid photo ID matching the information on your reservation must be presented at the time you pick up your product. Only the*person named on the reservation will be allowed to pick up the product. Apple may cancel your pickup if the ID does not match the information on your reservation.*Apple will not retain any personal information from your photo ID in an unencrypted format.

Couldn't that just mean you're only allowed two appointments at the store?

Which means two watches, you can only reserve one watch per reservation, any more would get cancelled?

I'm not reading that as a limit on the number of watches - just the number of reservations you can make. They're trying to limit scalpers and people mass-booking appointments to sell off like people selling places in line.

All a reservation does is get you 15 minutes in the store to discuss the models/bands and try them on. You then go and place an online order. I have yet to hear anything about limiting the number of watches per purchase or purchaser.

From reading the rest of it as well as the highlighted portion it definitely refers to :apple:Watch reservations being limited to two per customer.

Ok, you were right that the reservations are to purchase the watch but I'm still missing where it says that you can only get one watch per reservation. It even says "item(s)."

Maybe I'm just blind here, I do miss things sometimes.

I'm curious why is it only on the UK site... Tried US/en_US, DE/de_DE and nothing. Hope it'll work in all d1 countries on 4/10.

This is so weird and getting even weirder and more confusing...

Do you really believe that you will have to provide your ID number or (as suggested by the first quote) a ID scan??

This whole thing is really bizarre - at the bottom of the code there is something about iPhones

EDIT: As I suspected, it's just a test of the iReserve system, so I guess they are still working things out.

So Thursday night can I pre-order a Black SS and a Silver SS on the Apple Store App to ship to my home and then make a reservation for the 10th to try on the watch and cancel one of the SS I pre-ordered? I would imagine I would have to make 2 separate pre-orders in order to cancel the one I don't want.

Seems like they've changed the site. Now it's 1 per customer.

    One more strange thing:

Unless you stop loading of the page immediatly after opening it, just before it redirects you. Then you get this:

Also it seems to be working now in all d1 countries with different requirements for reservation like SMS or goverment ID verification.
