Apple Watch lineup once the 7 is out?

Hey there, what are your predictions for the Watch lineup once the 7 is out?

Series 3 discontinued?
Series SE stays the budget friendly model?
Series 6 gets a $100 discount?

I definitely think the series 3 gets dropped. There’s no way they can keep selling that device.
SE will stay as budget device.
series 6 will be discontinued too.
SE and Series 7 is my prediction.

SE takes Series 3's place, Series 6 takes SE's place (since it is new design, less risk of cannibalizing), Series 7 new flagship.

Hope they get some sense and stop selling the severely outdated Series 3

As long as people are buying, they will keep selling. I see quite a few posts regarding people wanting to get their feet wet with an Apple Watch and mention the S3 as the front runner. Never understood that. It’s not a motorcycle lol. Financial resistance is a different story though and understandable.

I like both options mentioned so far.
Option 1.
SE the new 3.
6 the new SE
7 the new 6.

Option 2.
SE to replace both 3 and 6
7 the most up to date.

Option 3.
SE and 3 replaced by a low end 7
6 replaced by high end 7.

I doubt there are any other options considering 3, SE and 6 are the only watches being made now. My guess is Option 1. Option 3 is very, very unlikely. I just threw it in there for a bit of fun.

That’s what I’m talking about! Thanks for the input. You guys make a good point about the possibility of the 6 also being discontinued. I think they’d miss some of the mid-price point buyers and want to keep a watch in that spot. I’m guessing the SE will stick around, 6 discounted, and 7. I can’t imagine going with always on display now that I’ve had it. The 1mm size increase of the 7 isn’t enough to interest me. I think only a new color could sway me to upgrade.

What’s about the rumor there could be a rugged/outdoor apple watch? Would this just be a 7 in a rugged case or a total different watch with focus on other sensors etc… Would love a rugged Apple Watch for outdoor activity!

My guess for the rugged is the S7 sensors and processor with a larger case and several day battery.

But do you think the Se will drop in price? In the UK the 3 is £199, the SE cheapest is £250, would they drop the SE £50?
