I've had the AW since AW2. Over the years and with several versions of the watch my fully charged watch will lose power after roughly 45 min to 1 hour using music & workout features simultaneously. Does anyone have suggestions re: keeping this going longer? I'm not sure what to features to turn off but would like to take longer walks/jogs without losing power. I've used AC to swap watch in the past but it only seems to work short term. Watch is charged overnight, every night without exception.

Wow, which Apple Watch do you have?

But yes, I’ve also found that broadcasting Bluetooth to my headphones and using the heart rate monitor during a workout runs the battery down fast on any watch. Throw in cellular streaming of music and it’s a perfect storm.

Have you tried the workout battery saver mode? It reduces or shuts off the heart rate monitor to preserve battery life.

That seems odd. How long of a workout do you want to do? I do my long runs using a GPS program, Apple Music connected to AirPods, and after 12 or so miles (roughly (1:40) I still have over 50%. Even when i had an LTE watch I had decent battery left. Could it be something about your earphones?

I use AirPods. There have been 3 versions of AW that have done this to me (3, 4 & 5). I'm currently using AW5 SS. I wasn't working out as much with my earlier versions. I don't ever come close to 12 miles - wondering if it could be something with Cellular or the location. I always walk in my neighborhood on the same route. It also seems to occur when I'm switching tracks on my music- sometimes when I place it back on charger it goes immediately back to 3/4 charge. It's happened so many times now that I won't try to return it. I'm not sure how power save mode works w/ music and workout but will check it out.

My Apple Watch Cellular can last for more than two hours during a workout with the GPS enabled, streaming music from internet and connected to my AirPods. I think that something is wr with your AW.
