Apple Watch needs to be unlocked twice

I have AW SE GPS and I have noticed something strange. When I put my watch on my wrist just before leaving my house I need to unlock it and that’s completely normal. But I also noticed that like 5 mins later when I’m in my car my Watch is again locked and I need to unlock it again. So in general I need to unlock my Watch twice and for the rest of the day everything is perfectly fine.

What’s going on? I’ve never experienced anything like that with my previous Watch.
 
The watch will lock if it thinks that it’s no longer on your wrist. If your band is too loose it can cause this to happen. It can also happen to people with tattoos on their wrist. But if either of those were problems then I would expect you to have problems with the watch locking randomly throughout the day.

Is it possible that you’re doing something in the morning that’s lifting your watch off of your wrist for a second or two. Maybe as you put on a shirt or a jacket or something?
 
My band is not too loose. I also dont have tattoo on (that 😂) wrist. Also I dont think that I’m doing something that can lift my Watch for a second as I’m putting it right before leaving my house. I’m doing everything exactly the same as I was doing with my previous Watch and I’ve never had such a problems.
 
Weird. Does it only happen in the morning? If you take your watch off in the afternoon and then put it back on and unlock it will it lock again a few minutes later?
 
I need to test that out. But I also can test it out right now to see what happens.
 
Well, I took off my Watch, put in on again and it seems that everything is okay now. I really don’t know what’s happening.
 
Not a chance, I have wired CarPlay only and I use it just when neccesary.

Ok. I don't have it in my car, so no expert. Just wondered since it happened in your car and noticed the one time I tried in my parents car, that I had to unlock my phone for it work.
 
Ok, I did some testing today and yesterday. My daily routine involved some kind of iPhone checking just right before putting my watch or just after. I was checking for weather on phone or something like that.
Today I didn’t touched my phone, just entered PIN code on my watch and left for work.
Guess what? Everything is working perfectly today. It seems that there’s some kind of bug in WatchOS and/or iOS that causes this kind of glitch regarding Watch <-> iPhone interaction.
You can test that yourself :)
 
It’s a bug with the last Apple Watch update. This has been happening to me as well. Every time I put on my watch and unlock it, a minute later I need to unlock it again. Even the latest update didn’t fix it.
