Apple Watch Nike ship date?

Does anyone know if the Apple Watch Nike edition will ship earlier than (late October)? Also, why in the world did it not come out the same day as other Apple Watch 2s came out? From all accounts, its the same watch with a different band and some additional software (not hardware) for the Nike running app.

Yea... I was wondering about that. I preordered one myself. The most likely reason is that the software integration is not ready? For example, some people are guessing that when you start a run on the watch, it defaults to the Nike app rather than Apple fitness app.
