I’m 6ft guy and I got a 38mm Watch and have been really happy with it.
I’m really glad I didn’t get the 42 mm as I would’ve found it too bulky.
Also I’ve seen women who are ~5-5.5 feet with the 42mm watch and it liked pretty big on their wrists.
I think we’re all getting hung up on big watch (and phone sizes).

- The classic men’s Rolex submariner watches that Connery wore in the early Bond films were 36mm.
- in the world of luxury watches, big watches are starting to get a little passé with 38-39mm being the sweet spot for men
- You don’t use the watch like you do the phone (or at least I don’t), so you don’t necessarily need a big screen to tap on.
