Joking aside, are you finding it unstable? Have the Apple Apps on the watch gotten worse?
Truth be told Watch OS 2 isn't that bad, of course it has it's glitches and all, the weather complication being the most annoying for me at the moment. But that's not the problem. The problem is with Watch OS 2, my iPhone is stuck on iOS 9. iOS 9 beta 1 is a hot mess, literally. The battery drain is bad and I can fry an egg on my iPhone. Downgrading to iOS 8, my Watch becomes useless since iOS 8 won't work with Watch OS 2.

I prefer the original "Flying Fish" aka Mario:

Not to get too much off-topic, but I personally think that one important ingredient to Flappy Bird's success was its very obvious "inspiration" from Super Mario Bros. imagery.

Other games on the App Store that tried to rip-off Mario were trying to recreate the original platform game so they had controls that were not suited for a touchscreen. Flappy Bird on the other hand had minimalist controls (tap) while preserving that "Nintendo nostalgia" factor.

Just when you thought you'd seen it all, gaming on 1.5" screen. I wonder if this trend will continue and TV's will get smaller and smaller?

I wonder how long the battery will last when they port Clash to the watch?

My question is how long can you play a game like that before the battery dies?
You'll probably lose your mind before the battery dies.
As anyone having played Sonic on the original N-Gage can attest, playing a fast, horizontally scrolling game on a square shaped screen is a very bad idea.

u gotta be kiddin me... a flappy bird game that made everyone go nuts on a smaller screen size than an iphone ?

Loosing your mind is always on the cards with addictive games. :) and this small display will only get more uses fired up in breaking their watch because they cannot tap in the right place.

Developing license revoking coming in 3, 2, 1..............

I came to this thread solely to ask whether Apple had ever really revoked a developers license over revelations like this.
I assumed they did but then wasn't sure why big name developers would ever take the risk.
Anybody know of any examples?

And then make sure you wait for the gen 2 of that revision, no one should buy the first gen redesign...

And then realise that the 2nd gen of the 1st revision gave birth to the iPad 3 ... I'd wait for the 4th gen if I were you :p

Waiting on 4K display minimum, and 8GB ram.
I can almost guarantee that someday people will actually be interested in this. Why? Imagine if the Apple Watch was powerful enough to provide all the applications and services you use daily. Netflix, Hulu and such streaming straight from your watch to a TV. You'd have an entire entertainment center with you at all times! Would be great for parties. :D

What a DREADFUL looking gaming experience. Utterly ridiculous! Why on earth would you play a game on that, rather than pull out your iPhone?

The guy is pointing to the mountain and you're focussing on his finger...
The point is not to develop games on the Watch. The point is that Watch OS 2 is a full featured OS and includes all the advances API availables on the iPhone. Sprite Kit can be used for other things that games - for instance a very complex and animated clock, a solar system simulation more featured than the one from Apple... Likewise, this means that you can use advanced APIs. Moreover, it shows that the Watch is actually quite capable when it comes to real time animation.

I would say longer than you would under Watch OS 1, which each frame being calculated on the iPhone then being sent back over power hungry bluetooth... If the Watch is able to run SpriteKit smoothly, it means it has some kind of GPU. And this means it's efficient at handling graphics. Sure, the battery will drain because the screen is on. But this means that you could have pretty powerful applications on the Watch without depending on the iPhone to do everything...
