I agree, this is what I been barking about myself. Unless people are providing inaccurate info here or Apple is using some sort of odd variables to process these orders (web site vs iphone store app vs payment method used) it doesn't make much sense. And why I didn't get a delivery date of 4/24 - 5/8 like most other people doesn't make sense to me either. Maybe we should submit a small message via the feedback link on the apple web site and bark a little at them. They did us wrong!

I've barked at them plenty already, through chat as well as calling. Hopefully other people are doing this as well so we can get some kind of message across to them.

The logistics on something like this are hugely complicated. There are many variations of the product and all getting shipped in parallel to many places across the entire world. The idea that every single one would be processed and delivered in precisely the same order they arrived is ridiculous. They're not going to say, "hey, we got a few extra watches in London but that guy in Los Angeles ordered his 3 seconds before this guy here, so let's throw it on the next plane to LA". That would be absurd.

Right but they are all coming from one location/one factory (Chine) so what you are saying is somewhat irrelevant. And yes If I placed my order at 12:xx and you placed your order at 13:xx I would at least expect to receive my order on the same day as you wouldn't you? Assuming we both ordered the same exact thing so that all the other variable don't come into play.

I hope so because unfortunately just barking here isn't going to help much

No, they're not shipping directly to you from China. There are bulk shipments going to various distribution centers in the US, and from there they get broken down and individually labeled and sent to you. So a distribution center in one area might have some of a certain model but one near you doesn't, so you don't get one even though someone closer to that other dist center ordered after you.

The one I received came from TN, not China.

They all come from China regardless, sure they are sent to distribution centers all over the World which of course takes time and offers its own challenges. What you are saying may be true but again that system is obviously very flawed.

One thing that tickes me off is that they kept most of us in the dark, at the very least they should have sent all customers (not just a select few) a generic email saying we realize you ordered x at launch and you may be hearing from other users that ordered x after you yet you have not received your watch and they got theirs. I don't expect them to go into all sorts of details like band x is in short supply because x supplier ran out or the factory is having poor output with x. At the end of the day overall they did a very poor job with this launch, there are many simple things they could have done to at least keep customer's in the loop. The forums here are full of people barking prior to Friday about all sorts of things, those who received their watches you don't hear them barking any more. Again I had no reason to wake up so early unless I was interested in receiving my order on Friday. I realize that still there was no guarantees but considering the facts they screwed up on the first come first served.

Did you order a watch, what did you order, what time did you order it? Have you received yours?

There's a difference between coming from China directly to you and going to a distribution point. The former possibly lends itself do making deliveries exactly in the sequence the orders came in, while the latter may not. There might be some watches that match your order in a different dist center, but if it's too far away from you they're not going to send it to you and instead give it to someone in their area, even if that person technically ordered after you did.

I ordered 2:
42mm Green Sport (xx:04:35) - Delivered on Friday
42mm SG Sport (xx:05:17) - Still processing
Shipped to TX

I thought that was UPS's slogan... They are all about the logistics. Jk

I don't quite think it works like some people are speculating here. If you are in the US and they have the watch you ordered somewhere in the US they will ship it to you. Those of us waiting, we are waiting for them to come from the factory in China to the US so they can then be sent to us. Those who think they are just stocking or storing these things at UPS, Fedex, etc I seriously doubt it. Things come in to the country to be delivered for orders already placed there is no stock laying around unaccounted for.

Obviously but to think they are warehousing these things in any country just laying around unaccounted for is ridiculous. They can't even keep up with the demand right now, there is nothing laying around anywhere. Product comes from China to the country of destination then gets delivered to the customers in that country that ordered it, pretty simple. They aren't just shipping plane loads of watches and storing them in some warehouse in some country waiting for orders to come in from that country.

is it just me or does this launch seem different than other product launches though. I mean when an iPhone comes out Tim Cook is out there and making a public statement about how great today is. I haven't seen anything to that sort on on any site like this as they usually have. Maybe no one is writing about it and maybe cause there was no in store thing but still seems as if apple didn't have much fanfare about this like other products.

Agreed....

BTW - MKE? Me too. Really Brookfield... Work downtown though.

Iordereda 42mm SS, BCB via apples phone ordering system. Connected at 2:01, and the rep placed the order for me. I got confirmation at 2:16:23. I got the 4/24 5/8 window for this one.

I also ordered a 42 black stainless with black link bracelet. Got the June window for this one.

No movement on anything yet. #####

Yep the good land, Milwaukee. Glad to see someone else from my area. I really feel like apple has ignored us in the Midwest and focuesed the first wave of shipments to larger demand cities on the coasts. I ordered a 42mm SG BSB got a 4/24-5/8 window my order was completed by 2:03 CST still no word on anything other than getting the email of death people were talking about. Hopefully when you're changes mine will too

I'll definitely keep you posted on my progress, and ask you do the same. My order wasn't confirmed until 2:16 - so it'll be a while for me, I'm afraid.

Did you ever get a confirmation email? I haven't heard of too many others with a white sport band still waiting but you never know.

Pink Shipping Now?

The spreadsheet has been updated by "Jasmine" to show a 42mm Silver Aluminum Case with Pink Sport Band "Preparing for Shipment". I can't find anyone with that name in this forum.

Can anyone else confirm that their pink-banded Apple Watch is "Preparing for Shipment"? I ordered mine at +0:02 and it's still "preparing".

Anyone in the UK seen any status changes today or are we really gonna be made to wAit till May 8th?

Looks like it's gonna be 8/5 for us in the UK, I've not seen any movement for UK customers in the past 72 hours.

Apple doesn't seem to be paying much attention to the UK deliveries.
