They didn't remove it from any watch that was already sold, most likely an issue with your watch.My recent SPO2 stopped working which means that this feature was withdrawn also in Europe (I thought it was only in the USA)
If you have an iWatch, you bought a Chinese knockoff, so you don't need to worry. As for the Apple Watch, we don't know what will happen, but I doubt Apple will be forced to turn it off on watches already sold.Hi All
I turned off automatic updates to my iWatch to prevent the blood oxygen sensor being deactivated. I therefore remain on WatchOS 10.2.
Is anyone able to confirm whether the blood oxygen sensor has been reactivated on the latest WatchOS 10.6 (or upcoming 11)? Thanks!
Everything written in the first post still applies. The sensor is present in the watch but disabled by software, and won't be re-enabled until either Apple works out a deal with Masimo, or when the patents expire in 2028.Any updates on this?
