Apple Watch S4 Nike Edition Not Available Until 10/5

FYI.... I just noticed this on the Nike Apple Watch S4 page... Nike Edition doesn't ship until 10/5.

So, other than the "Nike Run Club" that apparently has been lost, and a couple watch faces, is there any "real" difference? I just ordered a NIKE band for my S4SBSS, so the bands aren't actually "exclusive" to the Nike series.

The Nike faces were the best ones last year, not as impressed with them this year though.
For the same price though, might as well order Nike. Right? Does the normal version include anything Nike does not?

You can actually get both the Run Club and Training Club apps from the app store. So the only difference I believe is the extra watch face option and the band.

Probably available 2 weeks later so that more people will opt for the Apple version where they don't have to pay Nike a royalty. Same reason I expect the iPhone Xr is coming later....so more people who are impatient will opt for the Xs. Make the versions that they make less money on come later so early adopters choose the higher margin ones.

The new white summit sports loop band can’t be purchase separately.

How douchy would it be for me to pre-order 2 watches, a Nike one and non-Nike one, and use the non-Nike as a loaner for the 14 day return window while I await my Nike+? More or less douchy than Apple not just releasing them at the same damn time?

Could do it, just be aware of the restocking fee you are going to be charged on the opened returned item.

I like the fact that the new Nike Sport Loops that will be offered with the Series 4 are reflective. I think I will pre-order the Series 4 Nike tomorrow and just wait the extra two weeks.

Yeah the Nike exclusive (at launch) sport loop on the S3 was nicer in multiple ways than the Apple sport loop. It was true black for one but also seemed softer and better stitched. I’m going to wait for the S4 Nike+

i am going to be on vacation tomorrow through the 22nd. when i get back its only 2 weeks of waiting.
