I just bought the AW3 and it drop to the bathroom floor and cracked the screen. I had the original aw0 and not a scratch. Can I just get a screen replaced like a phone

As far as I'm aware it'll get sent away even if you take it to an Apple store. I don't think there are any on-the-spot repairs or replacements. Your best bet, if you have a store nearby, is go there. Otherwise, contact Apple via phone or the online support system to arrange repair and they'll have you post it to them (in Australia, they do this by sending you a shipping label via email that you then take to the post office with the watch and they do the rest - not sure how it works elsewhere).

No. Apple does not repair Apple Watch displays in store. They will send it out to a depot to have it repaired and then they will mail it back to you. You can either mail it in directly with the information they provide you or you can bring it into your local Apple Store, and they will ship it out for you.

In the UK there are some stores that you can call to tell them which model you have. They'll then arrange to have the part when you pop in and will repair on the spot.

If you bought with a CC check to see if it has damage insurance. Many do for the first 90 days after purchase. I tripped over uneven sidewalk on a run and scratched up my Garmin watch ($500). Filed a claim with AMEX. Figured they'd pay for the repair. Instead they refunded the entire $500.

if you have AppleCare, it's a $69 fee (you can do it twice)
otherwise, i think it's the out of warranty fee (about $230 depending on the model)

if you take it into the store, they have to send it out

you can have them send you a box to return the broken watch, and once they receive it, they'll ship the new one
or they will put a hold on your credit card for the cost of the watch, ship you a new one, and then once they receive the broken one, they will release the hold on your card,

call the apple 800 number
