Apple mentioned supporting 3rd party apps out of the gate with the Apple Watch, but as far as I could tell, they didn't say where we could get the SDK or when we could expect it.

Come to think of it, when did they say the Apple Watch would be released? They specified next year, but did they mention a particular month or season of next year, or do we think WWDC 2015 will occur before the Apple Watch is released?

    Edit:

Oh, actually, the developer center is down right now, so maybe they'll have something up later today.

Apple Watch will be "available early next year". So, they have plenty of time to release WatchKit.

Darn it!!!!! I have been looking forward to tinkering around with the SDK all day long. I was hoping they would have released it immediately in order to give developers plenty of time to make great apps but I suppose they need a bit more time themselves.

Did they say "any 3rd party" or are they just releasing it to selected 3rd parties?

Kevin Lynch kept talking about "developers" and "you" and didn't mention "selected", so I would think anybody can use WatchKit.
