Apple Watch SE 1 Gen still worth it in 2023?

Do you guys think it is still worth getting an Apple Watch SE 1 Gen in 2023?
You can get one very cheap these days and I mainly want one for running but I‘m not sure if they will be getting new software updates for very long.

Yes, for a good price I’d have no hesitation. But check the battery health.

Yeah, as long as you're getting it at a good discount compared to the 2nd gen SE (which has a newer chip and will receive software support for longer). I still use a Series 5 which has the same chip as the SE 1 and it's still a great device for fitness tracking, notifications and info at a glance. No telling exactly how long it will continue to get software updates, but I'd say until Fall 2024 at the minimum.

All that said, if it's not at least 30% cheaper than the SE 2 it might be worth paying extra for longer support.

If you can get it for a good price, I'd say you should, and I think it'll get updates for a couple more years. ✌
