I can’t find a definitive place as to whether the Apple Watch SE has an Infograph face available.

go to the face gallery in the watch app on your phone, all faces will be there
I don’t have the watch so I can’t exactly do that. I’m considering purchasing the SE over the S8 to save money. But like the Infograph display.

there are some faces only available on certain models (eg way finder on Ultra) but if my memory serves me right Infograph has been available since the S0 so I would assume it's available on the SE, but since I don't own that one I can't be sure ...

According to the page below, the only watch face that isn't available for all Watch models is the contour face (S7 and S8 only). All other faces, including Infograph, should work on the SE.

I can confirm the infograph face is available on the SE.

Be aware on the smaller SE the four round complications in the middle are super tiny and for example if you set one of them to world clock, it's starting to get hard to make out the tiny hands. If you have these complications set to something different it might not matter as much. Might be personal preference but I'd use the infograph one only on the Ultra. Might also depend on your eyesight.

Just to prove the point even further;)

Thank you all. I have the S6 and love it. My son needs to replace his S4 as the battery lasts about 9 hours. So I have to decide between the S8 41mm (with slightly bigger screen for $329 apple discount) or the SE 40mm ($224 apple discount). He just needs fall protection. I believe his S4 40mm currently has the Infograph face.

As noted above, the Infograph face does exist in the current WatchOS.

I had a S3 before the recent purchase of a SE (2nd) and I was initially concerned my preferred face was no longer available - replaced by 'Siri', a feature I have no intention of ever using (on Watch, iPhone or Mac), but regardless, it chooses what it thinks a wearer should see in that face over the course of the day. Eventually, I found the replacement to my S3 face with 'Modular' - though its visual in the Face Gallery suggests its yet another geared towards activity and sports - and that's how I missed it. Its only by opening it that I saw the complications available to give it a complete visual reworking - though digging around in the colour palette a bit tedious.

Wayfinder is Ultra only.
Explorer is cellular models only.

Infograph has been available since the S0
Not quite. Infograph, along with Vapor, Fire and Water, Infograph Modular (which has since become the regular Modular face), Modular Compact, and several other faces were always exclusive to the Series 4 and later due to the larger screen size with the rounded corners.
