Hello everyone! Today I got my Apple Watch Series 2 and made this video comparing the speed of the original Apple Watch to the new Apple Watch Series 2. Its faster but on not always by a mind blowing amount. I feel that its kinda hard to realize how much faster it is on the video because your watching in, I think in actual usage it'll feel much faster because you don't want to sit there and watch it you just want it now.

What are your thoughts? :)

I have a S2 on me and an S0 next to me. In use the S2 is a lot smoother. The animations in particular. The GPU difference is palpable. And load times from scratch are quite improved IF the app was rewritten for watchos 2 or 3. ( otherwise they still load in run on the phone).

However it's not like a HUGE difference. Watch os3 really sped things up on the s0. It depends on how laggy you found the s0. It often drove me nuts. A good compromise is the S1. Same speed. You can almost sell your old SS for the same cost as the new aluminum one. It's worth it speed "snappy" wise.

Do complications update more frequently and consistently?

Especially those requiring frequent data--sports scores?

Thanks for that. Pretty unimpressive improvement. That makes my decision easier.

Not impressed at all. I was imagining that all load times was a thing of the past with the S2 processor. The only improvement I could really appreciate on my hands with the watch was the fluidity of the app launcher when moving around. Nothing else really wanted to make me return my $218 42mm I got from Best Buy.

I'm not a chip genius but I would guess that some of these apps have to adjust their apps for dual core. I still thought the improvement was impressive. Compare the AW2 to a OG AW on wOS2 or lower. night and day lol
