Someone i know just finally updated from series 0 to 10. Wild that it lasted so long
I smashed my S0 (all) a few months after AC ran out (there was no extension possible back then) and replaced it with the S3 (all), then 6 or 8 months later upgraded to the S4 SBSS which had been my plan all along.Gee what do you do to them? I assume you just want the new one?
I’ve only had S0 and S5. Still wearing the S5.
Fair. It’s always interesting to see different people’s device changes.I smashed my S0 (all) a few months after AC ran out (there was no extension possible back then) and replaced it with the S3 (all), then 6 or 8 months later upgraded to the S4 SBSS which had been my plan all along.
Then got S7 Ti In part I was tired of not having AOD) and I still have that today and use for sleep tracking every other day.
U1 was a game changer and besides readability (flat screen) I wanted the water resistance.
I upgraded to U2 1 year later as I deemed the trade-in value reasonable (for the first time) and in hindsight quite better battery performance and SiP performance made it worth it to me.
So really, the U2 was the only watch that "I just wanted the new one"
and I will consider getting an Ultra 3 if:Fair. It’s always interesting to see different people’s device changes.
My series 0 SS was preordered and I used it until the battery wouldn’t take a charge sometimes.
Got a S5 sport model cause I didn’t care for looks. It’s beat up now. Covered in scratches and the battery health is 73% BUT I still get a day of charge from about 6am to 6pm so I’ll keep it going until it dies.
I have a feeling that if you could afford to spend 10k+ on the Edition Watch you don't really give a **** about it being obsoleteHope the people who paid 10K for the edition enjoys their obsolence
My S3 Watch finally refused to boot.
But it was much better than my S5 that really struggled after WatchOS9 was installed. Battery life sucked after that.
And no update ever fixed it.
It still boots but has a short useful working period.
S10 is better in all ways and seems to get almost 2 days of use between charges for me.
Just admit you cant afford oneI still have never worn one. And will never wear one.
The gold can definitely be extracted and recovered. It is an expensive process, but still worthwhile especially since gold's value has gone up so much in the last decade. But you wouldn't recover anywhere near the initial cost of the device. What about that gold one? The original Apple Watch. Can the gold be salvage and resold to reclaim the loss?
Much like the current version of the watchCan't imagine still using it for anything but the time and notifications.
While the Apple Watch has been a game changer for many of us devoted wearers, the rest of the technology loving community sees no value in the device. Mac and iPhone are the only living icons and might be the last.I wonder if anyone bought an original apple watch and left it in its factory seal with the hopes of auctioning it off as a collector's item for a huge profit in the future. If so, it will probably be another 10 years or so before the gamble pays off? 🤷♂️
Tell us more about the list of tech products you’ve never owned. I am very much interested. Also a reason why for each would be good.I still have never worn one. And will never wear one.
surely yes. Although it might hold its value as a collectible item in the future. What about that gold one? The original Apple Watch. Can the gold be salvage and resold to reclaim the loss?
