If we’re discussing apple watch, which is related to fitness and health, I think apple should release a walking pad / affordable treadmill.

There's too many issues that need to be solved with walking pads / low cost treadmills, but at the same time, they're too good of a product for a bunch of no-name companies to be crapping them out. Some of it may just come down to improved / increased marketing, which apple is very good at.

Apple is innovative. They know how to design and build high quality products that people enjoy using in their daily lives. They should take their expertise in design and marketing and lend their hand to the fitness equipment / walking pad industry. Like an “ipod moment”, but for walking pads. Before ipod, the mp3 player industry was kinda all over the place, just like todays’ walking pad industry. Apple can built a higher quality, higher standards piece of equipment to design market and sell that will improve people’s daily lives, and its related to what they already sell, whether its apple watch, iphone, homepod, etc, because many people enjoy music and media while exercising, and thus, this type of equipment could extend the reach and improve their fitness and health hub lifestyle, just like ipod / imac / iphone did with their digital hub concept.

I have seen so many of my friends and group (myself included) switch to Garmin watches over the last 12 months. I don't want to say the apple watch line is in trouble, its not, they sell millions but I do think the battery life is one of the major reasons people are switching.

From my own experience, I now have 15-20 days battery with 3x CF in the week and 1-2 runs.

I too have seen a ton of people swapping to Garmin and I myself have been thinking of possibly making that swap as well since I am still using an Apple Watch Series 3 and have yet to find any substantial reason to upgrade to one of the newer models. Sure there are lots of added features but none of those are killer features that would really entice me to get that new model. Garmin with the battery life alone is a compelling reason to upgrade to it as well as my understanding that many of the metrics (at least on some models) are a good bit more accurate. I haven't looked deeply into that claim but if that's the case and/or they track additional relevant metrics accurately then yeah, Apple needs to up their game.

I have no regrets. The software is more clunky but you get used to it. I know with the AW you can turn all the alerts off but I do find it nice not having a vibrating thing on my wrist all the time, I paired it with my iPad instead of the phone for further quiet too.

The built in route planner (if you have it, mines a 965) is great, simply say how far you want to go and it’ll make a route. I’m trying it’s built in training for a half marathon at the end of May so I’m hoping it’ll get me there quickly
