Why? Because it’s now going to nuclear. When the watch launched most said it was a epic fail. “People would never wear it” “ugly” blah blah blah. Now I see tons of them out in the wild here in Southern California... this watch cracks thru the ceiling and the watch now goes mass market.
Classic Steve Jobs product “A lot of times, people don't know what they want until you show it to them.”

I have seen and worn the AppleWatch, still don’t understand all the fuss about it. Sure Series 4 does more like ECG, however its an accessory that is trying to eventually be a main device like the IPhone or iPod started out. If I have an iPhone on me with a larger screen, more functionality, why am I looking at an expensive postage stam sized screen. Convenience at a premium cost. I can either reach into my pocket and look at my text, accept calls, the time, etc or turn my wrist. I am still trying to understand what the AppleWatch actually does well, the UX/UI does not even seem refined compared to the iPhone or iPad and you have to charge it every night.
I used to wear the traditional watch and other smart watches with GPS, trackers, FitBit just has not added anything to my personal activity, maybe I am naturally active and mobile. Relating to health, a balance has to be met. Constant monitoring and alerts of ones medical condition can lead to information overload. If you have a genuine medical condition, old age, etc I can see the point. If you are relatively health use common sense.
If the AppleWatch is working for you, great. However it still does not do anything relatively well compared to having a phone on you. Similarly some people feel an iPad may not replace a desktop OS.
I am sure the product wil get there eventually, however at present I don’t feel this is the case. However thank you to all AppleWatch users for beta testing the product at your personal cost.
