In the week since I've had my apple watch series 4 cellular, it has randomly restarted several times. The last time it happened was a couple of days ago right after taking it off the charger. It had fully charged, I took it off the charger and set it on my night stand and next thing I see is the apple logo. I think one of the other times it restarted was also after taking it off the charger. Has anyone else had anything like this happen? I am wondering if this is a software or a hardware issue. I haven't come across any information regarding anyone else having experienced this.

5.0.1 update out today addresses charging issues. It's worth a try.

I saw the update but I think it's related to issues with the watch not charging? I haven't had this problem. The watch has been charging fine, it's just the random restarts that I've noticed with at least two of them happening after taking the watch off the charger.

I know it's a stretch, but if there is a charging bug, it could have other side effects.

Do you have any third party apps installed? Maybe try removing them from the watch if so. The restarts don't seem to be a common complaint, so hopefully it's just an app update or software update you need to resolve it.

This random respring problem plagues all Apple Watch models.
I've seen it happen a handful of times (4-5) on my Series 1 over the past 2 years. I don't know if that's a plague.

They do? (Rhetorical) Never had this issue with over six Apple Watches. I’m not saying it can’t happen, I’m just saying there’s no evidence of how widespread that is being a reoccurring problem.

This has happened to me 2 or 3 times since I've gotten my watch as well. I also had similar issues in the past on my series 3 and series 0. So it might be a software issue.
