For those in the market for an Apple Watch, Best Buy currently has some great deals on the series 5. I just got a Nike 40mm SG w/cellular for $349. Better than that, the stainless steel models are going for $399. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch the stainless steels until after I bought mine. 44mm models seem to go for about $30-50 more than the 40mm. Also, Best Buy charges a $45 restock fee should you wish to return since these are cellular models. Still great deals though.

Yes a very good deal. I went with the Nike 5 Cellular 40mm as well - $319 - great deal!

Is it really worth spending additional $80 for Stainless Steel? I like the idea, but it's still an Apple product with a limited useful life.

Since they're heavily discounted, I'd probably spend the extra $80 for stainless steel. I had both regular and Space Black stainless steel Series 0 watches and later a Space Black stainless steel Series 3, but they depreciate like a rock. After that, I just went with the base models in Series 4 and 5.

In this case, the depreciation hit isn't nearly as bad as paying full retail for stainless steel.

I definitely think a $60-100 difference is worth it for the stainless steel. I like the shine of the metal. Looks more classic to me. As mentioned, SS has terrible depreciation; which is why I started going with aluminum too when the series 4 came out. However, I agree that because the discount is so steep, the depreciation in this case is no worse than that of the aluminum models.

I’m still very happy with my Nike edition. Not worth it to pay a $45 restock fee on top of the cost difference (IMO). I tried to get BB to match the space gray price to the silver when I bought it. $349 vs $319, but no success lol Was worth a shot.

Don’t forget that theSS come with a sapphire srystal and cellular should you ever want to use it. I picked up two in the last sale and am thrilled with my black SS and silver SS. Gifted my series 6 blu aluminum and like these better.

Ended up going back to BB earlier today. Spoke with a nice lady in customer service. She let me do the exchange without a restock fee. Walked out with a shiny new space black stainless steel model. Pretty satisfied. Heck of a deal. Even she said so a few times as she was scanning it lol

Watch is one thing I don't upgrade yearly.. I still have my 5 SS, recently got my sister-in-law a 6 there's not much difference at all (blood oxygen level is about it). Good deals!

I missed this thread until just now but I happened to find the BB deal this morning and ordered a S5 in black SS 44mm. Ever since I saw the bigger display on the new watches my S3 just hasn't been enough.

I'm rather annoyed today because a month ago, my series 5, 44mm, had 99% battery health, and today it says 89% battery health. WTF

My AW watch, purchased at launch is down to 83% battery health. It seems like it started degrading more rapidly after is updated to WatchOS 7. Will be pursuing a AC+ warranty replacement when it hits 80%.
