But the issue for some is they are out of order. And I don't understand why it still happens for companies for over a decade. Get your backlog in order before you start shipping new orders

Agreed. I called Apple yesterday regarding my Sept 17 order and was told it is shipping from overseas (presumably China). Assuming this information is correct, it doesn't seem to make sense. I have no idea what Apple's US domestic warehouse stock levels are for specific models, but I'm making an educated guess that they have the specific combo that I ordered since every store around me has stock coming and going pretty regularly.

Yet several others in the thread mentioned that they ordered a few days ago and their orders have already shipped from domestic warehouses. But my order from 3 weeks ago just went to Preparing to Ship this morning. Apple's logistics seem a bit odd.

Yea I find it weird as to how I placed an order on 10/1/2020 for SBTi AW 6 navy blue sports band and only Monday night it went to PFS and for someone who ordered on launch day still has their order stuck at Processing.
I think it depends of models of watch (color ,aluminum or titan, only gps or cellular) and bracelets and location.

The one that baffles me is the US customers who pay for express. Does that just mean that once it hits Anchorage, it's overnight? Or do they get it to the US warehouse then start tracking. To me what's the difference? It's just whether you see the China to US part of the tracking or not.

To me it seems like once an order has been allocated to ship from either overseas or domestically, Apple doesn't shift it from one to the other. Aside from the demand of certain bands and such, this could explain the inconsistent ship times between day 1 and more recent orders.

I'm assuming this is the case for my order because the Apple rep told me my order is still shipping from overseas (assuming the info the rep gave me is accurate), even though domestic availability appears to have reached stability for the combination I ordered.

I ordered on Sept 19. As of yesterday, still in processing with delivery date of Oct 14-20. Ordered again last night and got watch, via courier, a few hours ago. Cancelled Sept 19 order. Apple might want to look at how orders are handled.

I didn’t have express shipping the first time but once it’s in the continental US it’s next day delivery. This time the changed the delivery to express for me but I don’t expect it will cause it to be delivered any quicker. The tracking is the same either way.

Strange you got express shipping, mine moved on the 7th, my delivery date is 07-14th, maybe yours will move on the 14th, then since you ordered express shipping, you'll have it on the 15th. 🙏
I hope so Or I hope it moves sometime this week. I have to return 2 of the watches tomorrow night. So, I won't have a S6 watch anymore :( I was really hoping my delivery date would move. IT's the band that's pretty much causing the delay.

Also, I have not seen a single person with a Beltic Blue Loop. Must be very rare.

I ordered SE 40mm GPS Space Gray w/Cypress Green Sport Band, on Oct 5 (afternoon). It's shipping from China to USA. Label Created/Shipped/Departed on Oct 6 via UPS. It's In-Transit as of Oct 6 10:52 PM EDT, "at the clearing agency awaiting final release". Apple's Order Details states it's scheduled to arrive Oct 15. UPS's text at 6:12 AM today states it "will be delivered on 10/12/2020 between 14:45 and 18:45". However, the UPS Tracking web site states "Please check back later for scheduled delivery." If it arrives on Oct 12, that's only 1 week after ordering. We'll see what happens.

I feel bad for those who are waiting a VERY LONG TIME!!

Mine is still stuck on Preparing to Ship. Holy Toledo, how long does it take them to prepare it for shipping? lol its been about 32 hours. Hopefully will ship soon.

Sorry, don’t know. Your mileage may vary. You may wish to go to Apple’s site, plug in what you want, and see the delivery estimate. I mentioned mine was delivered by courier for an extra $9, but I live less than four miles from an Apple store.
