My bands that have a promise date of Friday show as shipped. My watches still show as processing for shipping

I just ordered the Series 6 GPS + Cellular 40mm Silver Stainless Steel Case with Silver Milanese Loop and 40mm Black Regular Sport Band. The estimated delivery date to Michigan, USA is Oct 2 - Oct 9.

UPS says Monday September 21. Apple says 25-29. It’s in China right now.

same situation, my apple notification email of it being shipped says Friday sept 25, from china, standard UPS. UPS says Monday Sept 21, though I had to search for it. Apple is taking a strange approach to shipping these days. cutting costs?

btw product red 44 mm.

Does Apple no longer require a signature for delivery on watches? I could have sworn we’ve had to sign in the past for our series 3 when they were released.

All Apple products above a certain price require a signature. You can just sign the waiver they usually give you online however, with covid I don't think UPS/FedEX are asking for signatures tbh.

Thats my point. I’m not seeing the form to pre-sign. And the tracking info from fedex doesn’t say anything about needing a signature.

So looks like they no longer require a signature for watches?

When I bought my wife’s MacBook Pro back in May/June timeframe UPS required a signature.

My watch shipped this morning with FedEx

No they don’t. Read the app it says it’s no contact delivery due to covid

Bummer, I hate when that happens! Patience, more patience, most patience.

I know! Trouble is I gave my son my AW3 4 weeks ago as a gift, thought I would be fine without it, turns out I really need it for work, love it for fitness, and then conveninece stuff like paying for things, not having to pull my phone out of my pocket to check a notification etc. It's not just tech lust this time!

Little reading goes a long way.

I’m still somewhat hopeful. If mine is in Louisville it can ship overnight to me quite easily. If I have no movement by late tonight then I’ll just come to terms that it’s not meant to be for release day.

Apple site this morning still says preparing, but when I used the fedex tracking via reference number and supplied my phone, i do see both labels for overnight packages, one watch, one band. coming from US. Tried using the same process yesterday and nothing found.. so pleased to see a change today.. both boxes showing 1 pound each, but one box is larger than the other..
What reference number did you use?

That explains it. I got 9/25-9/29 for the silver SS to replace my series 0

That will be a MASSIVE upgrade, nice! I have my Black SS Series 0 also...eh, slow but it works. (Just had it replaced 2 months ago actually - battery bulged the screen out after 5 years)

But my current Series 4, just the speed alone blows the 0 out of the water. The 6 will even be faster. Congrats.

Got a shipped email this morning... and .... it was my band :(. Nothing in UPS or FedEx for the watch, Apple still says 25-29. Oh well, I guess I was right about tempering expectations.

Depends. But I don't think it is required last time with my Apple Watch despite it says signature required. It is up to the drivers discretion whether they want you to sign it or not. For my watch, I didn't have the option for a hold for pick up so I just had to let it deliver to my condo and they just put it right in front of the door. NO signature.

I hope with the SBTi watch that I ordered, that I have the option to request a hold for a pick up at UPS CC.
