Pulse oximetry tech has been around for quite some time. It’s cheap. It’s also been present since the Series 1 Apple Watch. Randomly deciding to activate it is not a new hardware feature. Especially during this pandemic I would hope Apple would activate this across all Apple watches for the betterment of mankind.

Listen, I know you guys really want pulse ox but if it’s anything like my garmin or any other watch with it, well it’s....not accurate. Like utterly inaccurate. Like irresponsible-to-include-it inaccurate. Maybe Apple can pull off some strange magic to make wrist-based measurements actually work but even so, I don’t think it will be as useful as you guys are hoping it will be.

Any idea if the blood oxygen monitoring is available in Australia? Can't find anything about that...
