Have you seen the new design? Or just a mockup of it?In my opinion the current design is more elegant and sophisticated.

From more than six inches away you won't be able to see any noticeable difference between a 7 and a 6. It will still look like a big black lump.I love my Apple Watch series 6. However desperately waiting for a new re-design Apple Watch. Can’t wait what Apple has been grilling. I hope pre-order starts on September 17th!!!
Well, the majority of watch faces are an offence to the eye. Does that count?Came here looking for features where the watch calls the cops if the wearer commits any offense. Disappointed.
Really? It looks exactly like a watch designed by a computer geek, to me. You won't see any traditional watch companies bringing out an Apple Watch inspired design any time soon.In my opinion the current design is more elegant and sophisticated.
Some of the Tag Heuer connected watches look to be going very much down that road.Really? It looks exactly like a watch designed by a computer geek, to me. You won't see any traditional watch companies bringing out an Apple Watch inspired design any time soon.
Please note: Reliable and accurate detection of body temperature might be of benefit in thyroid disorders. Both hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism can cause unusual temperatures.A temperature measuring function would be useful for fertility tracking and keeping track of sleep, and in the future, it could also detect when a user has a fever.
Yes I agree 100% mote than happy with my series 6SSI really hope that mock-up design isn’t what we get. It looks so flat, uncomfortable and inelegant. Looks like someone shrunk down an iPad and put a strap on it.
But everyone knows that the Dutch speak better English than what the English do.They have updated the support page for cellular in Dutch. We might for the first time ever get cellular and the high-end materials in The Netherlands!
That’s my concern as well. The renders look lime early prototypes for the current design.I really hope that mock-up design isn’t what we get. It looks so flat, uncomfortable and inelegant. Looks like someone shrunk down an iPad and put a strap on it.
The watch actually can unlock the phone with FaceID at iOS 14.7 even with a mask on.They need a Touch ID on the watch so it can unlock the phone.
Well said.... I'll upgrade from my XS to the iPhone 13, but wait another year before I upgrade my 4 watch. I do a BP cuff read almost everyday so adding it to the watch would be an excellent sensor upgrade.Looks interesting for sure and would definitely be a nice upgrade for my aging Apple Watch 4. on the other hand what I am really looking for are new health sensors like blood pressure and body temperature. So I am torn right now.
if the new sensors are expected for next year I will wait. If it’s longer than that I’ll get an Apple Watch 7.

Please remember most emergency medical personnel are in emergency situations when doing this. Ambulance personnel. In a lot of cases you only have moments to do it. But I do agree with you that a watch will never do the job of a cuff. There are many ways in which even supposedly trained medics fail to measure blood pressure properly. One readily accessible site has these seven tips:
The AMA produced several versions of a one-page graphic entitled, “7 Simple Tips To Ensure an Accurate Blood Pressure Measurement,” which has helped inform physicians, patients and the general public that: ▪ Putting the cuff over clothing, rather than a bare arm, can add 10-40 mm Hg to a measurement.▪ Having a full bladder can tack on 10-15 mm Hg.▪ Talking or having a conversation: an additional 10-15 mm Hg.▪ Failing to support the arm at heart level can add 10 mm Hg.▪ An unsupported back can increase a measurement by 5-10 mm Hg. That same range applies to feet leftdangling from an exam table or high chair.▪ Crossing legs means an extra 2-8 mm Hg

I have seen medics measuring over clothing, never heard of anyone being asked if their bladder is full, have experienced medics talking - and expecting replies - while measuring, have seen doctors simply rely on the height of their desk and not take any notice of height of patient, and I never had any idea about an unsupported back.
Further, some sources recommend measuring both arms, at least from time to time.
It seems not impossible that a watch could do a better job of checking some of these factors.
It's ok, I can think of some stuff...I have a series 5 and honestly I don’t think there is anything Apple can do to make the thing better at this point.

Looks like this will be a excellent upgrade from my series 4
