Within the past few weeks, sometimes I noticed my Apple Watch Series 8 didn’t charge when placing it on the charger. This is despite hearing the charge connection sound and seeing the charging status.

Just now I went to take my watch off the charger, and the battery is down into the orange, even after sitting on the charger for 12 hours. And the screen showed connected with the charging icon. But clearly it didn’t charge at all.

Any reason why this might be happening all of a sudden?

Faulty charging cable? Incompatibility? Sometimes when new software updates come out they seem to break third party chargers.

Are you using the Apple charging cable? If not, can you try it?

It works when I take it off and put it back on. Just weird that it sometimes does this now.

I’m using this stand directly from Apple.

Thanks for sharing this. I guess I didn’t use the right words when I searched! Any idea if I can get a replacement at the Apple Store? Or do I have to do though Belkin?
