In the middle of several books.
Has anyone else noticed the volume for Siri seems rather low compared to the Series 7? I checked the volume and it is up all the way. I even re-paired the watch just now and the volume is the same. Wondering if I have a hardware problem.

I just checked my Series 8 and compared it to my Series 6 and it’s very close. At first it was low but then I asked Siri to speak up and at maximum volume it’s pretty close.

I don’t have a Series 7 to compare it to though.

I will check my series 7 again when I get home. I asked Siri to turn up the volume all the way and Siri replies still seem low.

If there’s a big difference I would take it into the Apple Store. At least that way you can demonstrate right in front of them. If it’s some weird setting, they can fix it and if not replace it.

I just tested my series 7 and it now has the same low volume for Siri. I am positive it was louder with WatchOS 8. Apple must have changed the setting in the OS

Yes. I had an AW6 and it was louder than my AW8. I told Siri to speak up till the max and it is ok. I assume Apple has limited the volume in watchOS 9 and reserves the full loudness as a feature for the Watch Ultra. Which is a great marketing trick for Apple, but not nice for their customers.

I bought the AW8 SS instead of the Watch Ultra for a reason. I don’t want an even bigger watch than the 45mm I have now.

Are you asking Siri to just turn up the volume or turn up Siri’s voice volume? Pretty sure it makes a difference with other devices but not sure if the Watch works the same.

It is low on the Ultra as well. That is why I am here.
