My Apple Watch series 9 has started to flicker green all the time (except when charging). If I disable the pulse-detection it stops but if enabled it flickers almost constantly. Battery has gone from about 50% after a day to less than 30%. I’ve tried reinstalling the watch but it doesn’t do any difference. Any hints here? Batteryhealth is 92%. It starts to flicker green just if I remove it from the charger aswell without even wearing it.
 
Sounds hardware-ish to me. Verify up-to-date watchOS, if it’s still happening a visit to a store or repair depot is in your future.
 
It’s on 26.3. Checked Apple website for repair but it was cheaper buying a new watch if I didn’t miss anything. 😕
Does the heart rate sensor go off less often when you use low power mode ?
Close any health or workout related apps on your Apple Watch, quit any workouts when you’re done with exercising

I assume you tried the obvious and rebooted your AW?
When did it start? Before or after the 26.3 update?
And given your other post I assume you do not have AC+?
In any case, if reboot doesn't/didn't fix it, contact Apple to do a diagnostic test (they can do that remotely) but yes, repairing it if needed is more than a new one on sale

Can I expect to get help from Apple even if it's not covered with warranty? Did a quick search on their website but got the feeling if I'm out of warranty, don't bother calling..?

Other than your time it doesn't cost anything, sometimes they do the unexpected, but if you go in with no expectations - you can only be surprised. At least if younger the diagnostic done you know.

Looks like you're in Sweden... you MIGHT have a Consumer Law claim. IANAL but my understanding of Consumer Law is that you can make a claim to the seller (not the manufacturer - if not purchased from Apple, you don't talk to Apple about this; talk to wherever you bought it). Looks like the coverage is up to 3 years.
 
I actually called Apple Support. Seems like some calibrating needed to be done. I started the fitness-app on the watch and started a fake "walking" session and stopped it 1minute later. Seems to have fixed the issue.
Damn it, just saved myself lots of money instead of buying a new watch. 🙂

Did you forget to turn it off? If so did it quadruple your activity rings?
